Mountain gardening's a challenge to keep from killing oneself, among other things. I love to work in the rain & slipping & sliding on slick slopes in Georgia's proven tough--hauling in Japanese maples or mulch or Hinoki cypress to install on a near-vertical slope with no 911 near by.
My grandchildren put up with my raves about hostas, Goshiki false hollies, and butterfly Japanese maples and even gifted me with a lobster trap & delightful pink flamingo from the Keys for my sedum corner.
